Terrace was started by Todd P. Ziesing in 1993 with a clear vision of innovation, quality, and integrity. We've seen many changes in technology since our founding. But it's gratifying to see that the principles that led us to create this enterprise are as solid today as they were when we started.

When we opened our doors in 1993 we were committed to a single goal: offer specialized technology products and services that provide innovative, high quality solutions for our clients. We wanted to "go narrow and deep" using the best practices and resources for clients seeking specialized solutions.

Several technology trends have surfaced since our founding. We've helped clients with personal computer networks, client/server computing, internet applications, Web applications, reporting systems, data warehouses, Web Services, service oriented architecture and Web 2.0 software. The base principles of software design have endured through each of these technology watersheds. We have leveraged these proven software design patterns from the beginning by implementing modularity and re-usability where appropriate. Modularity and reusability can accelerate development and provide the foundation for highly maintainable, extensible software.

Over the years we have developed a number of modular, re-usable software frameworks (e.g. Threshold®, OpenApp®) to support our software development practice. Our engagements have also provided us with an opportunity learn about the specialized software necessary for individual markets (e.g. Insurance, ecommerce, etc.). We have blended our experience with targeted markets and software development to build a growing family of innovative vertical software products. The Terrace family of software enables our customers to realize the benefits of our innovation without incurring the full cost necessary for discovery, design and development.
