Terrace has added Windows Azure Developer Certification to our growing list of Microsoft certifications. The new Windows Azure Certification Exams (click here for reference) were recently released by Microsoft from BETA. The test was taken and completed by Terrace's two lead Consulting Directors (Clayton Peddy and Greg Johnson) today. Terrace has been working with the Windows Azure platform helping our customers develop new cloud software and migrate exisitng on-premise software to the cloud since the developer pre-release (Fall 2009).

CIG went live with a new ACORD XML interactive rater interface with Vertafore’s PL Rater. California agents can now rate real time, allowing CIG to be competitive with some of their largest agency groups. This is the 2nd interactive interface completed with consulting and development support from Terrace, proving the concept that will allow CIG to easily integrate with other rating software companies in the future.

August 31 to September 1, 2011 - Company News - Terrace Participates in Annual Charity Event - Berkeley Boosters Turkey Ride

Terrace is pleased to announce our participation in the 2011 Charity Turkey Ride (August 31st – September 2nd). The Turkey Ride is an annual event sponsored by the Berkeley Boosters Association/Police Activities League (PAL) to raise money to provide holiday meals for families with at-risk youth in our local community.

These families are nominated by officers of the Berkeley Police Department and the UC Berkeley Police Department, and the officers deliver the meals before Thanksgiving and Christmas as part of their community outreach. 2011 marks the 27th anniversary of this important event.

Terrace will have three riders on the three day ride to raise money for this worthy cause. This year our route takes us from Berkeley to Calistoga (up the Napa Valley) on day one, Calistoga to Sebastopol on day two, and back down the coast to San Francisco (over the Golden Gate Bridge) on day three. We'll be covering over 200 miles on our bicycles over those three days.

Terrace has successfully completed an upgrade to Capital Insurance Group’s ACORD XML quote submission web service. After a submitted quote is processed, data and rating validation is completed automatically. The quoted rate, along with the coverage premium details for the policy are returned directly to the client system and displayed to the user. The client system then provides the user with a link to CIG’s website at www.ciginsurance.com where they can choose to accept the quote and complete the application process. The interface Terrace designed with IBQ Systems is the first truly interactive submission support web service.

Terrace Gives Back ! August 2, 2010. A healthy gathering of Terrace Staff joined in an afternoon of work to support a local San Francisco urban farm - Alemany Farms (http://www.alemanyfarm.org). The Terrace team worked on planting and weeding a variety of areas of the farm including the herbal garden, the hillside carrot patch and some local fruit trees. Work included weeding, fertilization, irrigation and planting. Additionally, the Terrace team worked to dig a new hillside pathway to enable greater access to hillside fruit trees. The Terrace team included staff members, family and clients ! Thanks to everyone.

Terrace has announced a new capability for the current release of Terrace ABS - the Certificates Center. This new Certificates Center steamlines the usability of the creation, production and management of insurance certificates. The new Certificates Center simplifies the steps involved to create one quick certificate, large batches of certificates as well as the management of holders and evidence. This new feature has been operating in production at a beta client for the last three months. Terrace will roll out this new feature to existing ABS 3.0 customers as a point release over the next few months.

April 2010 - Consulting Services - Regional Carrier Goes Live with Straight Through Processing for Agencies

CIG has gone live with the latest update to their Internet presence for CIG insurance agencies. This latest release supports a fully automated straight through processing (STP) of insurance applications from submission through underwriting and binding. The STP is configurable with a business rules editor allowing administrators and underwriters to change STP rules without programming. Additional enhancements in this release include real time interfaces to Nexis (CLUE and MVR) as well as WYSIWYG policy declarations. This new Insurance Standards Liason will be the primary contact point for Terrace and the growing number of Insurance Standards organizations. The goal of this new position is to ensure that all future Insurance software development work at Terrace aligns to the most current Insurance Industry Standards.
